The Old Crown Inn Uley is a beautiful, traditional 17th century freehouse with an enviable position at the top of the village opposite the church and next to the village green. We are surrounded by beautiful Cotswold countryside with so many wonderful walks and places to explore! Not to mention a a stone's thrown from the Cotswold Way itself!
The Old Crown is a genuine independent freehouse and has been owned by the same family for over 30 years! We offer; a great range of real ales, wines & drinks, delicious menus which are all freshly made in-house by our talented chef ranging from superb lunches, delectable evening dining to incredible Sunday roasts. We also have regular live music, open mic evenings, pub quizzes and so much more!
The Crown has been renovated, after the pub was returned to us after a 15 year tenancy, in 2022 so we are delighted to be open again
and pride ourselves on offering a warm welcome and high standard of hospitality throughout.

Visiting the Crown!
OUR OPENING TIMES​
Our correct hours are always found on our website at the bottom of each page.

But it is worth noting our hours can fluctuate depending on the time of the year. Quite simply if it is peak season for us for example Easter, Christmas, school holidays or peak summer months we will extend our opening hours accordingly as it is busier. But quieter times of the year for example November or quiet winter months we will reduce our hours accordingly.

OUR GAMES ROOM
We have a pool table and darts board in the room just at the end of the bar. Please note though that this is unavailable 12.00 to 18.00 on a Sunday.

DOGS​
Are very welcome! We are in a lovely countryside location so would be a shame not to be dog friendly. We sell some very lovely locally made dog biscuits from Clemootle which are popular. We do also have some complimentary dog biscuits located on the bar as well along with dog bowls and fresh water on request. We only ask that for the comfort of all, that all dogs are kept on a lead.

CAR PARKING​​
We have a large free car park at the rear of our pub. This car park is strictly for our own customers only and so unfortunately we made the decision to install a smart car parking system in 2025. All you need to do is enter your registration - any help needed let us know

Want to park up in the morning and then visit the pub later in the day? Not a problem - the only thing you need to do is to register your car registration before you leave the car park and you will be successfully logged. So whenever you come in to purchase food or drink we will be able to help you before you leave.

GROUPS OF WALKERS AND CYCLISTS
Are very welcome! Again we are in a beautiful spot and so happy to assist and welcome visitors to the area. If you wish to arrange any group food or drinks even if outside our usual hours or regular menu options, just let us know your requirements and we are very happy to help.

WEDDING COUPLES AND GUESTS
We are in a bautiful location close to three popular wedding venues. If you need any assistance with accommodation, pre or post wedding meals, drinks or finally would like the pub open earlier on a Saturday morning for breakfast rolls, beers and bucks fizz (other dining options and drinks available!) we are very happy to help, just contact Kate or Tom using the options at the bottom of the page.
